Nymphomaniacs are insatiable sexually active people. In Latin, nymphae means female genitalia and was derived from a Greek word meaning bride, while satyromaniac is the equivalent of satyriasis, the male equivalent of nymphomania. However, hypersexual men can be nymphos since satyro is not in common usage.
